Dinner for Rwanda

Babette Djian, chief editor of Number, one of the Muses of Karl, is a chief editor with something of Kouchner deep inside her. Babette decided to inaugurate a new tradition in the world of fashion by hosting a charity dinner for her children of Rwanda association which gathered almost more beautiful people than the Arcat Sida dinner. This year, it was in Cardin Space and, not on purpose, it happened to fall on the same day as the big announcement of the Sarkosy/Bruni couple. Thus, the subject for conversation was obvious.

Preview of “I Am Legend” with Will Smith

After an exhausting day of promotions (Le Grand Journal on Canal Plus, la Methode Cauet on TF1), Will Smith finally arrived at Paramount Opéra for the preview of his new movie “I Am Legend.”

Despite the icy day, hoards of journalists, photographers and fans awaited the arrival of the American star, actor and singer.

1500 people waited for him in a movie theatre full of VIPs including Marina Hands, David Skrela, Joana Preiss, Emma de Caunes, Gilles Lellouche, Olivier Dahan, Miss Agnès, Sara Lavoine, Alica Taglioni and Jocelyn Quivrin.

Judging by the men’s reaction at the end of the preview, the movie is “true science fiction" while the women were not at all reassured by the horrible mutants!

After the preview, everyone went on to the famous club “Cab” near the Louvre for a small party in honour of Mr Smith himself, who arrived an hour later but eclipsed all ...

Friends were requested to make gifts with their own hands. The “Le Royal Monceau” hotel was taken over for 48 hours with all the rooms booked for the grooms' friends. The best music (he he!), the best champagne, to-ing and fro-ing from every floor and every room, day and night.

The only way to celebrate the Starck-Jasmine wedding.

On Wednesday December 12, Nespresso inaugurated its largest shop in the world on the famous “Champs-Elysées” at an event which lasted 24 hours.
At 8.30pm, it was opened by the gorgeous Sharon Stone, followed by 500 guests who all discovered a sublime space arranged around the coffee.
From muses to Nathalie Dessai, lyrical singer, many little events punctuated the evening.

But all without George...who was finally, not far from us, having a cup of coffee... pictured against a wall...

Many other French celebrities were also present including Audrey Marnay, Axelle Laffont, Miss Agnès, François Berléand, Mathilde Seigner, Andre Dussolier, Claire Keim, Claude Lelouch, Julie Depardieu...

Bus Palladium Party

Last Thursday at “Bus Palladium” the Clark magazine had assembled at the last minute a too beautiful to be truth scene with two of my favourite DJ' S.

From Alaska, Curtis Vodka, the nerd which plays Bad Boy music and From Rio de Janeiro, DJ Sandrinho the new godfather of the Baile Funk style (for a sneak peek visit the website clekclekboom.com).

These two gods made a generously job but in front of very few people.

Tekilatex, Luwinsky and some other DJ' S were however present, which really means that it was a good concentrate.

The videos of Sandrinho should give you an idea of what is being a 120% DJ while practising 6 hours per day like a high level athlete.

Afterwards with 50 Cent

It’s Friday evening and a line of rough faces and hefty fellows wait at the door of a luxurious building in “Place Vendôme”. The elevator is busy transporting members of 50 Cent’s crew and R’n’B video clip dancers up to a 5th floor apartment with a view of the Ritz.

Inside, 50 Cent is surrounded by adoring women. They rub up against him and roll their hips. They want to get under his skin and appeal to his emotions… but what is his first name? It’s certainly not “50”!

Having returned from an appearance at Star' Ac, 50 Cent is in need of entertainment. And entertained he was. From these photographs, one could believe that Paris was experiencing weather like Copacabana and yet it was just 20°C. Some girls obviously just felt additional clothing was unnecessary.

The result? Decadent.

In a Valmy Quai workshop, I attended the launch party for a product that claimed to out-Botox Botox.

We were drinking champagne in front of portraits of unknown young women taken by the famous German photographer Martin Schoeller before and after an injection of the product and admiring the result that is said to last two years.

All of the most fashionable and well-connected women of Paris were present including Miss Agnès, Emma de Caunes, Lolita Lempicka, Amanda Sthers, Audrey Marnay, Ophélie Winter. And where the women flock, men also follow: Samuel Bihan, Olivier Picasso and others.

Many said they wished to try the new product themselves!

Costume shops stripped bare, parents’ curtains cut to pieces and theatre attics plundered - all for the Ball of the Princesses! Organised by Electrochic at Maxim's, the night was totally decadent and regal. DJ’s (I was one of them) unleashed a crazy audience! Who was there?? Only masked people!!
